Check out the online needlework show. Start with the first vendor, you can flip through each page. It's a little uneven, but there's some interesting stuff. My mom's been begging for a stitched piece for her new summer home. Reportedly--I haven't been to visit yet--one of her rooms is decorated with "flip flops." Wouldn't this be perfect?
Some of the new (to me?) designers are really different: African Folklore Embroidery, Artists' Alley (for your favorite witch), The French Needle. You may notice that I'm not one of the stitchers who has a cat. Even I think this is cool.
