Days 5 and 6

I am home sick today. I thought it was food poisoning, but my boss's son's daycare has at least three cases of what I've got. Can I blame this on her then? Although since "it" was an isolated incident and I'm able to keep crackers down, I might stick with my food poisoning theory. No more coffee from the shop down the street. Resolved!

For Day 5, I chose Spring Fresh Mesh by SamSarah. Once you get into the rhythm of stitching on these Walker clutches, it's really fun. The coverage is a little thin, so I am trying to figure out if I am going to stay with three threads or move to four. I'm using the called for colors, even though that heart looks red instead of hot pink. {shrug}

For Day 6, I chose Bent Creek's Wedding Row. This will be the dude's anniversary present, and yes, I realize I haven't finished last year's anniversary present. (I've got a plan.) I wish I had gotten to the L. I mean now you have to wonder what we've got here. Over? Oven? Glove? (It will say, "Of my love be sure.")

I could actually show you Day 7, but these two at a time posts have such a rhythm to them, I might stick with it. Although I don't think I'll be able to show much on Friday. I'm supposed to go to a concert. I hope...

I'll be participating in Vicki's Grow Your Blog party on January 25. January 17th is the deadline to sign up. You can do that here.

Looking forward to seeing more of your pieces 5 & 6. Interesting concept to me about stitching on a Walker bag.

Hope you are feeling better soon!

I'd think stitching in the bag would be difficult. I have an oooollllddd CHS kit for a seed bag and trying to stitch in the already-assembled bag is just too much for me. I'm laughing at your "I've got a plan" remark - it sounds awfully similar to things I say to myself. ;)

Hope you recover quickly from "the ick," no matter what the source. I am intrigued by the walker clutch...

Sorry to read that you have a bug. Hope you feel better soon! I like both of your projects! The Bent Creek one will make a great anniversary piece.

Ugh, sounds like a Norovirus. I hope it's totally gone now, never to return! And I applaud that you were able to stitch while dealing with that bug.
Something about that muslin-looking cloth is so charming, especially with the blue. And there you are, banging out project after project again. I really admire your persistence!

Two more nice starts. I expect we'll hear about the Plan soon!

Lovely new starts you have here. I admire you that you can stitch on this bag. I once tried such a thing but gave up after a while with my needle always sticking in parts of the bag that shouldn't have stitches, lol.

I don't quite understand 31 starts; however, I adore the lime green one. I have a lime green Sam Sara zipper thing and bag, too. In the closet!

I use the bag all the time & maybe one year I may actually stitch on the design
