Where I am

Integrity: One is said to have integrity to the extent that everything she does and believes is based on the same core set of values. While those values may change, it is their consistency with each other and with the person’s actions that determine her integrity.

Barbara bestowed this award on me. And I thank her. It's very flattering. Not sure I believe it though since the motto around our house is, "Living the contradictions!"

Here's an up-to-date scan of the Sampler Scissors Box.

I think my last start for January will be Spring Flowers. Whoa! When I went to look up the photo on the Birds of a Feather website, I got this message: "We are no longer offering Cross-Stitch or Linen products." That's a surprise, or did I read that somewhere else?

I made the mistake of showing Shores of Hawk Run Hollow to my mother, the beach queen. I want to stitch it for myself and she wants me to stitch it for her. There's no way I'm stitching it twice. We're in the process of negotiating a time sharing deal. Let's see how much she wants to underwrite...

The BOAF messages are very confusing; however, the LNS are still able to obtain the patterns thru their distributors. (per house of stitches ... because I was asked about the Happy Hearts SAL pattern being OOP)

Odd tho, about their message. Doesn't it sound like they are no longer available for purchase???

sigh.

Doesn't your Mom want to learn how to stitch??? LOL

Shoot, I wish I could remember the whole story. Last year, someone bought the needlepoint portion of BOAF (or did partners separate...?) and as far as I know, the xs charts will be available only from distributors, while the needlepoint canvases are available from BOAF. That didn't help a bit, did it?

Oh, no more BOAF? Yikes! And Dawn at Sheepish Designs is also retiring. Oh no. :(

SSB is really pretty and coming along nicely!! I may just jump in and try a biscornu, wonky or not I should at least try. I know hat you mean about SoHrH - if my mom sees it she will want me to do it for here also....

SSB is *really* pretty! You're tempting me to start it myself... I like Flowers set, Summer Flowers is on my to-do list.

My mom is *storing* some of my artwork on her walls until I have my own place to hang them. Now that the time's getting closer I *can't* take it with me, it'd leave all her walls bare! So if you do Timeshare it, find something else to swap out with it so that no-one has a blank wall.

My mom wins those arguements but I get it back when she's "through with it," if you know what I mean. I'm going to eventually get a pretty good haul. :)

Many years ago, I was stitching one of Paula Vaughn's quilt pictures. My mom kept hinting that she would like to have it. Her birthday came and I ended up giving it to her, mostly because I didn't have much money for a gift. Well, she put it up in strange places like up next to the ceiling of the kitchen and joining dining room. When she got mad at me, which was most of the time, she put it up in the closet so no one would see that there really was something I knew how to do. I say keep Shores for yourself and tell her she needs to learn to stitch it for herself! Debby :)
