To Be Jolly

There was lots of time on the train ride back to Philly to stitch. I finished the cardinal on this round. (See how he looked previously.) And started the small motifs I had looked forward to back in August. In fact, I said this about them: "Once the cardinal is done, most of what's left are smaller motifs which should give the feeling that I am zipping along toward a finish!" But...not so much. That Quaker-style snowflake on the far left took me three tries to get right!

I really like this one! I have never seen a cardinal in Japan.

Your cardinal is gorgeous. Those little motifs seem to take more time to stitch at least in my book. Probably due to starting and stopping!

Here's too hoping the rest of it goes more quickly than expected! Perfect timing, too, as it sounds like the snow flurries are starting everywhere.

How many times have I thought the very same thing! Small doesn't always mean easy or fast (so many ways I could go with this). Love this pattern and think that cardinal is one of the prettiest ever! Great job!

Love your cardinal with the HUGE tail! He's quite the show off. What's the thread you are using?
