Old Sad Boring Ladies with Nothing but Time

It's a long weekend in America, so I know you'll need some extra reading.

Tattoos "grandma might actually approve of"...(Never mind the grammar, there's gramma!) I've lost count, in the past nearly twelve years, of how many times we've been likened to grandmothers. But the tattoos are cool.

More old ladies, lesbian old ladies even. Includes an interview with Julie Jackson that says she doesn't know what traditional cross-stitchers think of her patterns because she  doesn't "run in those circles." Well, really, why not? We're quite amusing, you know.

Guy cross-stitches new debit card in less time it takes his bank to send him a replacement.

Loved the articles I had seen the one about the guy who stitched himself a debit card and I love, love, love those tatoos. If I wasn't chicken I'd get one.

Thanks for sharing. I've seen the tattoos on FB and was rather impressed.
The subversive stuff is amusing but rather "simple". A bit like my 12 year old sniggering about the words "pants" or "butt". I'd rather see something clever, like the Scarlet Letter Acrostic chart redesigned to reveal something snarky. I did laugh at "You're Doing It Wrong" and even more at the people that would actually pay for the chart and painstakingly reproduce all the errors.

Bank Card guy made me laugh too.

Hey, if knitting is sexy now, cross-stitch must be, too. I love the creativity of those cross-stitch tattoos! What great finds. :)

Love those tattoos, just don't like the idea of a tattoo! I agree with Lee but have been stitching since I was 16 and have heard all the granny comments many many times before...move on! I'm not keen on the subversive stuff unless it's clever.
