I have over 900 posts in my reader. I have prizes and birthday gifts to ship. I must have something else because without another item in the list, the lede loses its punch.
I haven't been there for you, but you've been here for me. I do appreciate the good wishes for my grandmother's speedy recovery and my aunt's continued patience. Both seem to be doing well so far. And Maggie loved the cards! She loves opening cards. We all thank you.
I have been working on my class with Shimelle Laine. Even though I have piles and piles of paper, what I realized is that I tend to collect tone-on-tone small patterns. I had thought those would be the easiest to use, but, it turns out, a good multicolored stripe really ties a page together. I've had to step out of my comfort level a bit. And go shopping.
Inspired by the class so far, I made these thank you bookmarks for my Tea and Stitch ladies. The Christmas tree ended up going for $60 in the silent auction. All told we raised $2500 which is pretty good in this neighborhood and in this economy. Unfortunately, the notes remain undelivered because I caught the dude's head cold. {Sigh} Fortunately, the dude won 4 free pizzas in the pick-a-prize auction. We won't go hungry.

I love the bookmarks! I seem to collect paper, and then don't really know what to do with it. It just sits and gathers dust.
Hope you get over your head cold soon, its seems like so many people have been coming down with either colds or the crud this month.
Sorry about your cold! They're never one bit of fun.
I've been thinking about you since I read your Monday post. My grandma never recovered from her postop delirium, which lasted until she died about three months later. We had no idea that the effects could be so extreme. I'm very relieved that your family has Maggie back.
Great looking tags and the stripe is a nice addition. Hope you feel better soon. I've been an MIA blogger and have to go catch up on Maggie and your aunt. Hope they're doing well.
Pretty tags. Hope you feel better soon.
Hugs,
Veronica.
