And my aunt sent a little note about my grandmother:
Maggie refuses to wear sneakers [for her physical therapy] and her loafers are dangerous, so I'll be picking up the Doc Martens that the foot doctor told her to wear behind the bar when those loose moccasins she wore were just not cutting it. Thank God she didn't get rid of them.
She must be feeling better as she told the nurse that she was going to stop by once she's released and show them how good she can look with her wig, teeth and nice clothing.
My grandmother sans wig and two front teeth, wearing Doc Martens. Now that's a picture for Halloween!

Glad to hear that Maggie is doing well!
Feel better.
I do love Maggie! Sounds like she's got things under control and how hip, Doc Martens! Go Maggie!
I live in Salem, MA and let me tell you: you don't know from freaks! ;)
Glad Maggie is feeling better. Hopefully, that means there's a light at the end of the tunnel for your poor aunt.
I bet Salem gets its share of freaks for Halloween, but I lived in L.A. where we had freaks 365 days a year!
LOL! Glad to hear that Maggie's doing better.
Hugs,
Veronica.
