"Eureka" Number five.
"As a man tramps the woods to the lake he knows he will find pines and lilies, blue herons and golden shiners, shadows on the rocks and the glint of light on the wavelets, just as they were in the summer of 1354, as they will be in 2054 and beyond. He can stand on a rock by the shore and be in a past he could not have known, in a future he will never see. He can be a part of time that was and time yet to come." --William Chapman White
"Adirondacks" Number Six.

those are really good, I feel so rubbish for not getting my act together to do something for this one
Gosh, they are all beautiful!
Really, how am I supposed to pick one? They're all really, really gorgeous!
Oh my gosh - wow! What a lot of talent! I'm kind of glad now that I didn't get mine done - I'd just feel unworthy. Seriously fantastic entries!!
wow! they are all so beautiful!
Wow! What beautiful work! How do you pick just one?
It's so difficult! Like Hannah, I'm kicking myself for not doing this. I'm not good with long deadlines, I'm such a last-minute.com type person then I ran out of time :-(
Next time I will start stitching the day you announce it! There will be a next time won't there?
Just a friendly reminder: No voting in the comments. We have a secret ballot around these parts. Want to know why? Read this.
These are wonderful! It will be hard to choose just one.
Anna....send your address to me at
alma@blackbird-designs.com and I will send some prizes for your contest.
These all look great! How fun that Alma Allen is offering you prizes!! You know, I had all the best intentions to do this - not sure what happened....
They are all lovely.
All of these are beautiful, and interesting to see how each stitcher made the adjustments to the same starting pattern.
Truly pretty projects! If it weren't for the speed of life right now, I'd feel really bad that I didn't do one. Instead, I'll just continue to look at the completed ones and try to pick a favorite.
Please remember no voting in the comments. We have a secret ballot around these parts.
It is so difficult to select just ONE as each are charming in their own way. having said that .... I'll have to send in a 'secret ballot' entry.
Wow, The are all so gorgeous :)
