Dressy Bessy

I wanted to show you the dresses yesterday per your request. I even took a few photos. Then before I knew it, it was time to go see Real Madrid play Philadelphia United. Due to the lack of police presence directing 50,000 people out of the stadium area, we didn't get home until this morning. And so I missed another day of blogging. Sigh. Did I mention Cristiano Ronaldo?

Last night I wore the "jungle" dress to the game. You might be able to tell that black lace placket is beaded. When I took off my bra last night, beads shot everywhere. It was disconcerting to say the least. I'm wearing the pink today, and it's made me realize the blue one has broken elastic at the waist. A very big girl must have tried it on before me. I have to find her and thank her because I kind of wish the elastic were broken on this one.

Today is our craft day with my niece. The dude and she are making lime sorbet and dinner rolls. Later the three of us will tie dye t-shirts (and a pair of socks!). Then she and I will make candles. I'll be sure to photograph the results.

There's something to be said for the pre-trial of clothing -- hum... maybe that's why shopping at The GoodWill can be fun. Anyway, I got a blouse with elasticized stitching in the sleeves, cute, but I kept tugging, so I snipped the elastic, and voila, no more tugging. It's in the laundry today, so we'll see how that snip turns out!

I like those dresses! I've always been a plain clothes type of girl, but this year went off my normal route and got funky. My kids were shocked and my husband paid me a compliment. I think I need some more of those type of dresses and yours certainly fit the bill.

My son would have been so envious of you seeing Real Madrid play. Since his trip to Spain he has wanted to see them play. PA was a little too far to drive though. I won't tell him you went.

Do we get to see tie dye t-shirts?

Love the dresses! I've worn (and bought) a lot more dresses this year because of the heat. I love yours - easy and breezy!

Those dresses are fabulous. I have a pattern for sundresses and material to make up at least three, but that requires me to have time and motivation to get off my butt and drag out the sewing machine.

I'm so behind, so very sorry I'm not being timely.
