You are too good to return to find what little missive I've sent into the blogosphere. I've been remiss, and yet you are constant.
Reading:
Inspired by a book, A Jane Austen Education, sent to me by a dear old (younger than me but longtime) friend, I've started rereading Jane Austen, in the order written.
Visiting: The Havertown dog park, Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. Stella enjoys humping this little female Australian shepherd and chasing soccer balls.
Drinking: Cold brewed coffee. The season is upon us, my friends.
Eating: Cake balls. I know I said I'd never make them again, but I keep making them. Also, I have made the recipe I will really never make again: pasta cake.
Loving: My husband who actually has theories of fruit picking and talks to the plants. Then he makes jams and sauces. Yum! I picked a winner.

Perhaps we can talk a trade for some jams/sauces....yum!
Welcome back - glad to hear you're well. How's Maggie?
well you are doing something creative hehehe and mmmmm raspberries yummm :) love mouse xxxx
When you say you will never make the pasta again, is that because it's not good or doesn't work, or because it's so time intensive? Just curious. It looks yummy.
Anon: It is good--the kids loved it, but I had to spice it up. It's just incredibly time intensive. First standing all the rigatoni on end and then stuffing it. STUFFING rigatoni. Enough said.
Pictures or it didn't happen...
Wow, if you have a husband that likes making jams an jellies, I'm jealous. My husband can barely boil water (or pick up his clothes, or........you get the picture!). And cold brewed coffee - that's a winner.
You "picked" a winner! You made a dumb pun and I adore you for it! I love it! :D
Rigby has taken to (trying to) having his way with our male kitten, speaking of Stella's actions. The kitten doesn't seem to mind, so we don't interfere. ;)
Stuffing rigatoni - sounds like a recipe that's right up my alley.
I've peeled grape tomatoes before. There's little I won't try at least once!
Stuffing rigatoni ... that sounds time-consuming, but won't pretend that I shy away from tedious things.
I am jealous of your fruit-canning husband. Mine just runs away.
I'm glad to hear the pasta cake was good at least! I am intrigued enough to give it a try... of course I will doctor the recipe to make it with my own spicy meat sauce. I do have a feeling that it will be a one time event though... stuffing rigatoni indeed.
Jane Austen is my favorite! I think I need to reread Persuasion yet again.
I love Jane Austen to death. Really and truly love her writing. I have to think about making some cake balls, as they sound quite intriguing, if not downright addictive. Pete is definitely a winner!
I personally don't think there is a better summer treat than iced coffee. Low cal, low carb, no fat and energizing--what more could one ask for?
Word verification: jamninfe (perhaps it has something to do with those berries)
