Crazy January Challenge: Day Two

Dog Lessons for People
Lizzie*Kate
Unknown 32-count fabric from stash
Designated flosses.

While I was stitching on this one, I kept thinking about what dogs really try to teach us: Never pass up a food wrapper that is on the ground; it's worth a lick * Greet with a butt sniff; it tells you all you need to know about someone * Play! * Get lots of rest (dogs sleep about half their lives) * There's lots of mischief you can make even without opposable thumbs * If something moves unexpectedly, bark .*

I tried to work something about the usual dog coprophagia but the best I could do was "Eat shit!" which doesn't come off as the insult it is in the human world. Whoa, I'm getting a little punchy. I blame the dude.

He was feeling well enough last night to go to the movies. (As I predicted, it was only okay.) Today, however, he is moaning about his belly. This continued illness really sucks because he is on vacation until Wednesday. He'll be too sick to do the things we planned (more movies, work on the house) but well enough to go back to work on Wednesday. It's always the way...

Riona asked "For me, the hardest thing about the Crazy January Challenge is moving on to the next project just when I have gotten interested in the one in hand. How do you feel about that?" Well, if you ask my mother, I have always been fickle so flitting from one project to another doesn't bother me at all. It's my MO. This is the life we have chosen!

I loved this piece. And like I kept thinking about other things I would add to it. :) I love your fabric choice on this one and the one in the previous post. So pretty.

Sorry the Dude is still ill. Niek also "plans" his illnesses this way and it really is maddening. I'm sure that the moment the stress of work is removed, his body just sort of shuts down for awhile. I hope you will BOTH enjoy plenty of good health after this.

I have this one in my stash, as well. I have it all kitted up and ready to go (the fabric is even ironed and labeled). Maybe I'll be bad and start it so that we can do a SAL. Does that appeal to you at all?

Such a cute design. In my family everyone seems to take turns in coming down with whatever is going around, so I seem to be busy taking care of others, and when I get it, usually last, there is no one left at home to care for me ;(.
