Today, I adopted the word cynicocratical, "pertaining to rule by cynics." (As if you didn't know why!) Apparently 90% of what we write is communicated by a mere 7,000 words, according to Oxford University Press. We're losing hundreds of words a year! Many words a day! I cannot let this stand.
I hope you will join me in this bout of logophilia. Head to Save the Words to, you know....

Oh great. Foppotee that I am, I immediately went and spent 45 minutes there. I don't like it when you're NaBloPoMo-ing. It takes up a lot of my time.
A great idea and a really cool site. Right now, most of what I say is at a 3-year old level. Although, my son sometimes surprises me with the words he comes up with. (Who the heck is teaching him to talk?!) Maybe I'll try to get him to use "blateration". (Actually, I think that is what he does most of the time.)
Thanks for the wicked awesome site!
Or should I say "meritorious"?
Most of the words I clicked on meant "prickly." Hmmmm. I thank you for adding to not only our love of visotactile arts, but of flosculation as well.
Brilliant! I solemnly swear to use my word frequently. I have already told the teenagers not to be so senticous.
My personal favorite is floccinaucinihilipilification.
But I have to admit, I think I love the Save the Words Web site more. I'll be sharing that one with my fellow editors in the morning.
