Soccer Football

Things went well in the US vs England match, so I can bring you this news:

Just in time for the World Cup, the Guardian brings us Wayne Rooney's "massive face" in cross-stitch. (You've got to read the accompanying copy; it's a little tongue in cheek.)

Of course if you can get your hands on Issue 202 of the Cross Stitcher (UK) Magazine, you can stitch yourself a Cristiano Ronaldo. Frankly, that makes much more sense.

You decide.

I don't think the author was being a little toungue in cheek, I think she was reporting accurately the rash of red and white that is all over the bloody country :oP ... even yarn shops and charity shops run by little old ladies who wouldn't normally have an interest are awash with window displays that feature little tacky flags...

Wayne does have a face only a mother could love, bless him.

Oh, I don't doubt the tat, flags, and the St. George's fried fish. (I remember one visit where the flags were flying--cricket season?--and the dude was surprised because that didn't happen in the England of his youth.) I mean the part where she talks about "ruining craft" and Wayne hisownself.

Can a cougar be as old as I am? What a cutie (Ronaldo) he is! However, I would not want his beautiful face in cross stitch much less Rooney's (bless his heart ;-)!

I think they were a bit generous with good ol' Wayne Rooney... shaping his head a bit more...nicely. And they've also made him a HairClubforMen member by softening up his receding hairline. =)

Now Cristiano needs no adjustments. *swoon*
