Happy Hearts

The wind is whipping about out there today, so the dog and I are cuddled up inside. I feel bad that the dude has had to brave the elements today. And thus my sentimental heart has turned to thoughts of love. (Hahahaha you believed that?)

I suppose if you do something twice, it is still a little early to call it an occasional series. Three years ago I made a little list of hearts and flowers in crafts. That was back before the days of the craft project aggregators. But maybe I'll hit a note or two you haven't heard before.
  • Stitcherhood has two "Love" patterns
  • And I'm sure you've seen (and probably stitched) Sampler Girl's "Be Mine"
  • Cross Me Not has free charts for a single rose and pink roses.
  • Plum Street Sampler has a Valentine's Day chart from last year but you probably didn't finish it on time since she posted it on the 13th. Do it this year!
  • Gigi, who designed the marquoir I am working on, has V is for Valentine (pdf) and the cutest dang sheep (pdf) you've ever laid eyes on.
  • Sandrine Creations has two St Valentin charts; the site is French and you must register. They're on page 10 of "Telechargement Grilles." (Telecharger means "download"and has nothing to do with the Broadway ticketing system Telecharge just in case your French is as bad as mine is.)
  • Martha offers 55 Valentine's Day crafts, but I liked this heart scarf best
  • Maggie Makes has a tutorial for embroidered heart pins (red work on linen)
  • Woman's Day wants you to decorate your linens with hearts and cupids
  • We didn't have a dog last year so I didn't notice these cute dog toy Valentines when they came out.
  • Papercrafts has bonus Valentine's Day cards online.
  • And here's a way to help use up those paper scraps.
And available for sale

That is quite the list! Thanks! And I will meekly raise my hand that I don't have SG's Valentine Book...I swear I'll fix that :)

Wow! Thanks for that. You should do that all the time for different holidays. It led me to a lot of charts I did not know existed.

Thanks for sharing these - and it's reminded me I need to finish off the Valentine biscornu chart I've been working on and get it posted soon!

Thanks for putting this list together! I am home sick today and have actually been reading blogs and finding a lot of these -- I felt like it was a great reward for reading! I did order the Valentine booklet from Tanya last week and enjoyed all those patterns. I LOVE that Needleprint Bridegroom's Hearts ... I have a sister soon to get engaged and I'm thinking that would be a lovely gift.

I'm cozy at home today, too, while my man is out in the elements. Hope you stay snug.

The designs from Gigi would look cute on those Tokens & Trifles sewing cards that I've fallen in love with.

Some I've seen, some I've never seen. Some I may do and some, maybe not. But hey! What a great, fun list!
