It's Tuesday!

When we lived in Los Angeles, we had the unenviable position of parking our cars on the street. On Mondays and Tuesdays, in our neighborhood, we had an extra scramble because of street cleaning. We were always getting tickets. Our upstairs neighbor, the landlord's old and frail father, once came to our door and pounded on it shouting, "It's Tuesday." We had a prospective student staying on our couch and that confused the fuck out of him. Sure it was Tuesday, but why on earth was this little old man telling that to the door? Of course, he didn't tell us til we had the ticket in our hot little hands.

So "it's Tuesday!" You might be wondering where your guest blogger is. You don't come here to read my drivel! But I got nothin'.

So what should we do...Should I just answer the damn question next Tuesday and that will be our big finale on this little project? Should we continue with "I love this project" asking people who will now know they weren't on the original list (and there are those of you I meant to put on the list, but I am a bear of very little brain)? Should we come up with a new question to ask of a new group of people.

Or are you really here to hear what I have to say? Give it up in the comments, peeps.

If it's Tuesday, it must be Belgium. ;)

I've loved reading the entries by all of the different bloggers, but I really do want to hear about your favorite project!

Do what you will. It's your blog. We will read it anyway.

Well of course I want to hear what you have to say!

I raked up so many tickets that way, that when I gave the car to "my little brother" (actually, my boyfriend's little brother) I warned him DO NOT PARK ILLEGALLY for even 30 seconds ... but of course he didn't believe me and the car was impounded. See, it's ME you don't want to listen to on Tuesday. I'll go on all day about nothing at all.

My eighth grade teacher used to write "Today is Thursday" on the black board. She would sometimes write it up there on a Tuesday, but we all knew that was code for "everyone go home and take a shower." Her reasoning was that around Thursday, people stopped bathing and started stinking. She gave us that lesson at the beginning of the year so as to avoid a classroom full of stinky 13 year olds. I can't say I blame her. To this day, when I hear "Today is Thursday" I feel the need to smell my pits. Maybe that's TMI. This has gone off on quite the tangent. Anyway, write what you like, I'll keep reading.

Seems my son who lives in LA couldn't remember when it was Tuesday either as he racked up a number of those street cleaning tickets when he had an apartment in Burbank. Thank goodness his new apartment has off-street parking.

Loved the guest column and the stories, but I come to read what you have to say.

I'm not much of a ticket collector, but I was inducted into the Tuesday Ticket Club the first Tuesday after I moved back to Denver. It was a lovely welcome.

I like reading what you type to us. I also enjoyed your guests. I'm a proponent of doing what thrills you. What thrills you?

My thoughts were exactly that of Kathryn above so I won't repeat!

To what Kathryn & Melissa said--my sentiments exactly.

I don't have any fun Tuesday stories to share. Blergh. It's been fun reading all the comments, though!

I did enjoy the guest blogger spot, but I would like to read your answer to your own question. :) As for future guest spots, do it if you enjoyed it. And don't worry about people being offended at not being asked. Myself, I wouldn't have been able to answer the question anyway. LOL.

I say...do whatever blows your skirt up! I loved reading the guest bloggers, I loved being a guest blogger, I love reading anything you write (you ROCK, after all), and I will continue to stalk, er, follow you no matter the subject and/or contributors.

I have really enjoyed reading the I love this project posts. It gives a wonderful insight into the stitcher, and to read why they stitched the project in the first place.

I'd like to hear your take on your favorite project. I also really enjoyed the others. I would suggest continuing it on a less frequent basis - maybe once a month? Because, like the others, I'm here to hear you mostly.

We're not subject to street cleaning, but from Labor Day to Memorial Day (or thereabouts), we have to move our cars away from the school by 8 am. We usually manage to get only one ticket a year.

It's SATURDAY! For those of us who barely manage to squeak in a weekly update, you're a blogging GODDESS. Don't worry about missing one Tuesday. I enjoyed the guest bloggers that I read, but if I missed one, I didn't scroll back through to catch up, like I do when I read your posts. :)

I love the guest bloggers, I miss you, Dear Anna, but there are so many people out there with such insight and humour, and lovely stories.

Why not ask all your readers about their fav project, and if you like the story, publish it, if not trash it - ha !

Where is the September Swirly gig stuff? Did I miss aomething along the way?
