This is beautiful! Tragic that you had to rip all of that out. I looked for a pic online of what this will look like finished, but didn't find one. Yours looks beautiful!
The first thing I have to admit is that I don't know left from right. So, it was the right side--flower and leaves--that had to be completely taken out. (When that picture was taken, I had already taken out the leaves on the bottom.) Then I had to stitch it all again. It took up the whole ten hours I had planned to spend on it.
Michele, the inner portion has more pulled thread and hardanger work. And I just noticed you can't see the ABC that is at the top of the middle bit. I guess we'll have to go buy a printer/scanner/fax so that I can scan the photo that I have!
