- DMC is touting "half cross-stitch" that you can do in half the time, using pearl cotton on 14- count fabric. It also looks half as good (or half-ass good). Actually, CinDC has been doing this for years, but instead of scaling up, she scales down. One thread over one on (28?32?-count fabric). These little pieces are delightful; I've seen them with my own two baby blues.
