Planning; Side dishes for Faux Thanksgiving (friends) and family Thanksgiving.

Reading; Nothing. Which reminds me I'm supposed to read Hunger for Books on Tap.

Surprised by: Delco, in a good way.

Enjoying: Do I have joy in the days leading up to the silent auction?

Currently...

Eating: Lobster, all I can stuff into myself while we were in Maine! (That's a baked-stuffed lobster with three giant scallops on top!) (And lobster number three...)

Listening: The dude and I are listening to Bill Bryson's The Road to Little Dribbling. He cracks us up. I still maintain he was writing about my MIL in Notes from a Small Island.

Wearing: Sandals

Feeling: Relaxed, at last

Weather: Warm enough for the beach, and cool enough to sleep at night

Wanting: More time off...

Enjoying: The ocean. I swear I was a mermaid in a previous life. Unless mermaids were river creatures, then I was a narwhal or something.

Surprised by: Through Facebook, I managed to get together with a high school friend that I haven't seen since college! (We think it's been 30 years!)

Currently

Eating: Pistacchiosa-We first had this treat at Di Bruno Brothers After Hours (a treat for the dude's birthday) where the cheese mongers make you unusual and tasty bites. They drizzled this spread (it's sort of a loose nut butter) over Gouda. When the dude asked how else it might be used, they mixed some triple creme brie into the spread and dolloped it on Italian shortbread cookies. You can put it on toast or in your eggs. This stuff is amazing.
Drinking: Oh, yes I am. More than usual.

Wearing: I bought this navy blue shirt dress at Macy's...for the flamingos. It's perfectly suited for the disgustingly hot and sticky weather we've been having.

Feeling: Tired. It's the work...

Wanting: Cooler temps so the dog and I could go on longer walks.

Needing: Another vacation!

Enjoying: Shaun the Sheep. Ever since the Brexit vote, the dude's been insisting we watch a few episodes on the regular. Very comforting in a cruel, cruel world.

Thinking: Trying not to, frankly.
