Cinnamon Stars

The dude is totally into track and field--what the Brits call athletics. So I have been watching races while I stitch. The good news is many of them are over in a minute or so, and don't take my focus away from the stitching too much!

I focused on what drew my attention to this piece in the first place, the smoke stars.

Tonight, I'll pick up my small and hope to breeze through it so I can finish that little Santa! Here's hoping.

This is Cinnamon Stars by Plum Street Samplers. I am using the called-for materials. You can see what it looked like previously, here.

Track and field trials were here in Eugene, OR. The dude might enjoy this article about all the track folks with Oregon ties including Ryan Crouser and Ashton Eaton and English Gardner. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/olympics/oregon-ducks-past-and-present-will-take-center-stage-during-rio-track-meet/2016/08/11/0fbc65ec-5fb8-11e6-8e45-477372e89d78_story.html

Great piece to work on during T&F! I like the antics after the races/events better than the event itself.

Really like your stars piece, although I'm more into cinnamon as a flavour than a colour!

I love those stars too!

Athletics was OK at school. I liked the events were there was a limited amount of equipment (like long jump or javelin) so most of the lesson was watching everyone else and making daisy chains. Running was boring, unless you competed in the unofficial 100m jog to see who could do it the slowest!

I have great faith you will breeze through your Small. I love Cinnamon Stars. Since this is on my TODO list I love the progress pictures. Great Stitching. I can't imagine moving at the speed these runners do - It is amazing
