Waldorff

Waldorff, Homespun Samplers, DMC
Waldorff hasn't received the attention he was probably expecting during this rotation, but that's what happens when you land on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday--especially when your Wednesday evening is taken up with a trip to hear Colson Whitehead. One of the best things about living so close to so many colleges is that there are any number of free events to choose from--readings, plays, dance recitals, and concerts. The dude and I went to see what he had to say for himself.

That's my excuse for a lack of progress on Waldorff. His daffodils got bigger. On the other hand, my daffodils are the saddest little things ever. The mild December led them to pop out so early, and they were nearly blooming when the blizzard came. Now the stems have lost all integrity and the yellow buds are sunk into the mud.

He's turning into a handsome chap, nice work!

He looks so good!

I wish I lived closer to more or larger colleges for exactly that reason, but we do at least have a community college close by whose associate dean of music knows some very talented people in the classical/chamber/jazz genres, and convinces many of them to play concerts at the college. It's great.

Dang, I hate a flower that lacks integrity. But I do like your rotation.

Sorry about your daffodils; what a terrible waste of a good flower! Poor Waldorff, but he will get another spin next month!

That's terrible about your daffodils. They are always a sign that Spring is finally on it's way. I do love Waldorff.

Waldroff is adorably cute. The Daffodils are great. How lucky you are to see those free events. I'm sorry to hear about your blooming Daffodils. Hopefully they will make a comeback???

Love Waldorf - he looks like he has a bit of an attitude. Was Colson Whitehead as interesting to listen to as he is to read?

He's adorable. Bummer about your daffodils though. Lucky you, living close to various colleges too.

This looks like a cute stitch :)

What a shame about your daffs. At least you can stitch some.

I used to enjoy going to the University of East Anglia for gigs. It was often used as a warm up slot for larger bands.

Poor Waldorff, but I'm sure you'll make it up to him next time.

That's a shame about your dils - this winter is confusing the heck out of plant life.

Already now he looks very distinguished :) At least you can stitch some daffodils when the real ones are destroyed by the snow storm. I hope that our primroses that started to bloom lately (extremely early for this region) won't be covered by the next heaps of snow.
