Look at me go! I finished
another piece from last year's Debbie's Ultimate Crazy January Challenge. Apparently all I need to to is concentrate--and stitch! I think I stitched this on the recommended fabric, but I'm not sure. I know I used the called for fibers.
Shabby chic, just like the lighthouses I've visited in Maine. It's hard to keep up the paint job in all that weather!
I'm sure I've told you a million times that the dude's grandfather was a lighthouse keeper off the north coast of Scotland. His grandmother had and his mother has such wonderful tales of living on the land while his grandfather was in the lighthouse. (Here's a
picture that will give you some perspective, even if it was taken in France.)
And the sea, all tranquil and orderly. (Ha!) Love this and adore my new rotation!

Congrats on another finish! It's a great piece (I bought the chart once I saw your WIP). I'd love to hear your in-laws' stories about the lighthouse.

Very nice stitch--I have it half-done in my stash and I'll have to complete it. I was undecided about the colors, and now that you've mentioned the difficulty in maintaining a nice paint job on the coast, I can relax about it. You couldn't pay enough to be a lighthouse keeper.

Well look at you making all that progress! You've obviously found a rotation that works for you - well done. I would love to visit Scotland one day and see it all, from lighthouses to castles to pubs!
Great finish, Anna. I love it. The designer is Bent Creek but what is the design actually called? I cannot seem to find it online. Loved those images of the lighthouses - fancy living somewhere like that? Amazing!
This is a great design, I love the look of the sea and the way the waves curl. Hubby's uncle used to be a lighthouse keeper.

Anna, the thought occurs to me that you or the Dude could write a really wonderful story around the tales his grandfather has or had to tell. It's really worth considering. Of course, I love that you are finishing things in your new rotation system. Onward and upward!

I've stitched that Bent Creek design - it was tough with all the 'jumps' but worth it in the end.
