Love Your Gardener

I know what you're thinking: daylight savings time started, couldn't you get a better picture? LOL. We'll all just have to imagine I'm a better photographer.

When we visited England two years ago in June, my BIL was complaining that between his younger son and the birds, they weren't getting a lot of strawberries. So when I saw this project, I thought it would be perfect for him and my MIL as well. They are both avid gardeners. So last summer when we visited the beach in Maine, I collected a bunch of strawberry shaped stones for this fairly simple project.

I don't know if they work, but they look cute!

Adorable! I love that you don't have to be much of a painter to create a strawberry. I'll have to remember this one.

I love these. If I had a garden I'm make some, even if they didn't work. ;) I hope they do work though, for your BIL's sake. Strawberries fresh from the garden taste like nothing else.

Being a cynic, I'd just tell him to plant more strawberry plants! Though the nice side of me has to admire your strawberries. And so thoughtful to pre-plan, something I'm not so great at!

Super cute! I have a thing about collecting rocks - it drives my husband crazy. Now I'm going to need to find some strawberry shaped rocks.

Do they come in cherry tomatoe too? We have had bugs and birds eating ours. So badly that we haven't had. A lot at all this growing season.

I'm guessing you would put them out before the real thing comes on. The birds will peck them and get a slight concussion and not return for this variety!
