There's Good News in Here Somewhere

Jo of Serendipitous Stitching followed Jan from Thread Garden and Shebafudge in making a top five list of the Just Cross Stitch Ornament Issue. And I'm playing along. I KNOW IT'S NOT A REVIEW. I just have not had the right amount of time to sit down and attend to it...but soon.

My List (in order of appearance)

1. Mosey n Me, Ewe-le Tide Greetings (Horrible pun, cute ornament)
2. Stitcherhood, Peace (even though it's a bit derivative)
3. Needle Bling, Frosty Snowflake
4. Amy Brueken Designs, La La La
5. Wee Works, Holly Rondel

Next week, I am off with the whole damn family for a Thanksgiving cruise. (Not Maggie, she doesn't travel anymore.) It's a weeklong cruise with only three stops. Since I will no doubt be contemplating diving from the highest point those other four days, I'm bringing some stitching and the Ornament Issue so I can write the long-awaited review.

I was going to write various disclaimers here, but they just made me sound cranky. I'm doing my best to be grateful. You should too.

Oh, how I am chuckling to myself! I want to assure you that you will have a good time, but we both know this will be a trying week. Breathe deeply and remind yourself many times that you love your family and that this too will pass. And I'm sorry that Maggie won't be there because she could provide a distraction for many people.

I hope you get some stitching done and can do a bit of relaxing. If all else fails, try massive doses of vodka. Works for me!!

I have to look at the issue again. I wasn't really thrilled with it :( It could just be my overall mood.
Have a great time and stitch a lot!

Hope the cruise turns out to be fun and not stressful. My father once talked about getting the whole family on a cruise. I have to say I'm fine that it never happened. :D

Hope the cruise turns out to be fun, but we know the stitching will be! Do you have extra cheaters to pack NOW? Looking forward to the review.

You will have fun on the cruise Nikki. We went on our first cruise last year to Mexico. We had a good time and it wasn't to bad being on the ship. Where are you going?

That's a different top five to any I've seen so far. The sheep with the heart near its butt is interesting!

The Allure is one of the newest vessels in a fleet that I used to do the insurance for. Sadly I never got a staff discount or even a guided tour round one of them. Cheapskates!

SO excited about the Ornament Issue Review! I look forward to it every year.

I've done family vacations. They are not fun. Are your staterooms connected or near each other? But at least it's better than being in the same house with all these people.
