Summertime and the Livin' is Easy

July's goals included:

  1. See a movie --we didn't get to one this month.
  2. Read two books--Friends, Lovers, Chocolate by Alexander McCall Smith--I keep wanting to like Isabel Dalhousie a lot more than I do--and A Room Full of Bones by Elly Griffiths.
  3. Yikes, anniversary present!!--done, see here.
  4. 10 hours on Star Light Star Bright--yes, shown
  5. 10 hours on Independent Mind--yes
  6. Start a punch needle design--I did go through my designs and choose one to start, but I don't think I have the right needle, and I need to get some floss.
  7. Enjoy the garden!--that was easy, even if I did have weeding to do.
For August, I'd really like to have a finish or two.

  1. See a movie
  2. Read two books
  3. Focus on Star Light Star Bright until it is done
  4. Return to Owl Winder Pocket
  5. If the two above get finished, return to That Dern Parrot

I agree about Dalhousie, and I've really tried. An author I have recently loved is Kristin Cashore who writes fantasy for young adults. She has 3 and they were each equally wonderful.

Just think how much we wouldn't get done if we didn't have goals! Well done, you!

Love the colors in Star Light. And good job on getting those goals accomplished.

Thanks for the introduction to Elly Griffiths. I have the fourth book waiting for me to collect from the library. Ruth Galloway may be eccentric in many ways but I love the books.
