Future Plans by the Numbers

WIPocalypse...Crazy January Challenge 2012...Let's finish Six UFOs...Theme-a-licious...What to do?

How about all of them?

No, I'm just kidding.

I currently have 13 WIPs, though two should be done by year's end (that was the plan, anyway). I have six outstanding projects from the Crazy January Challenge, though I may finish one or two more. That means I'll start 2012 with between 15 and 19 projects.

With Nikki calculus, I'd say I can start nine new ones come January. I know with the end of the world and everything, you may think I should try to get more stuff done but I kind of like carrying projects. I like new stuff, and it all gets done...eventually, if the recent finish of the Tree of Life Window is any indication.

So I went through and found 22 patterns* for January.

I guess I have some choices to make.

*Not all pictured.

I like this--I too had joined the crazy January project and out of 15 I've finished 2--BUT both were ribbon winners so that was fun. But I like the idea of actually starting all the ones I want to complete SO you've inspired me to sit with my stash and put at LEASt one stitch in each project with a veiw to 2012 finishes. I NEEDED this blast of starts today THANKS!

THere is a photo of the "three Tall Guys". WHich one is it? IT doesn't look like any of them that I've seen before!

I have the Band, Brr, and Scarecrows. Still plugging away on Brr as it is one of my 15 January projects.

I also love carrying projects. So I'll start another Crazy January Challenge in spite of the fact that I won't have finished all the 2011 projects by the end of the year. It's just wonderful to have box full of WIPs and they are all started and not only kitted and you can freely choose the one and only project you want to stitch on right now. That's the fun of the Crazy Challenge for me.

Ha! I just started Leave a Light On this evening! I feel in love with it earlier this year and picked up the chart and materials while on a short vacation in Las Vegas in February. It is SO pretty!
Good luck with your decision.

Just catching up with you after no internet since last week.

Love, love, LOVE your choices! That could be because I own several of them, and aspire to own a few more. ;)

For what it's worth, I just finished Red Snowman, and it was a lot of fun! Quick, too, even though I had to rip out the hat due to a counting error. You'll love it! (Watching your progress on Blue Snowman inspired me to buy/stitch the whole series. :) One down, four to go!)

I have Home Sweet Home and always take it out and look at it, but never actually do anything with it. You should definitely put it into rotation, as should I.

Thanks for mentioning this post on my blog - I just knew someone would have done the legwork already! I'll have to participate in some sort of WIP reduction plan, and your list had several to choose from. Perfect!
