Nu Shooz

The night before we left Maine, I got Sissy and the dude to help me make cording so I could finish my mother's "Shoes" flatfold. Jersey was making fun of my cord maker (it is creaky). But I think it came out perfectly!

Sorry I can't tell you about the fabric and fiber!
The overdyed threads I used were difficult to match, so I chose a fabric that had some of the colors but really featured the colors in the house.

Sorry about the crappy photos; I took them at night. My camera seriously does not like shooting in low light.

My BIL and his family are coming to Philly earlier than I expected, and I've got to clean this joint. And you know how I love to do that!

You did a great job with the flat fold. I will have to make something like it for my sister who loves shooz. Enjoy your company!

Can you imagine making cording (albeit only 1 color) for a 3'x5'rug? It involves the universe geographically to handle all those strands being twisted, "miles" apart.

Your finishing shows vast improvement over the years of reading your blog. I hope you feel more confident about it--your product says you should! Mary Agnes

Nice finish, Anna. I have yet to try the flat-fold. But who am I kidding, I have tried very few finishing techniques, cuz I don't finish-finish things often enough.

That cording is perfect! Great choice on the backing fabric, too.
