It's time for another Maggie Monday story. Fortunately, my aunt just e-mailed a doozie. Here it is in her words:
While I was out shopping with Maggie, she purchased three deeply discounted gifts for her friends. (Guess we should feel lucky that she is not cheap with us.) The gifts were those reeds that you stick in scented oil, you know the ones I mean. Well, she couldn't wrap them 'cause she had no wrapping paper, so of course, I did it for her. And I have to say that I made a special effort to make them look good. I attached silver martini gift tags and even filled in the "To" and "From". Then she decided that she should get something for {my cousin's MIL}, since she'll be at the Christmas Eve party. Maggie decided to give her one the gifts that I wrapped. Before she could even try to cross out one of the names--guess one of her friends was going to be SOL--I said that I'd give her a blank tag on Tuesday. In the mean time, she decided to give one of the original gifts to the woman who drives her to and from Surf every Saturday. Did she remove the tag and just hand her the gift? Oh no, that would have been too easy. She said that the tag was too pretty. Instead, she covered the original recipient's name with a sticky tag. I hope she didn't say that I wrapped the present, and I hope that the recipient didn't remove Maggie's tag to see who was supposed to get the gift in the first place.
Sometimes I wonder where I came from !!!

OMG, that is so funny! I love the Maggie stories!
YGG on getting your stuff done! Yeah, I'm about done with cards. Three years ago I got from the A's to the L's. The next year I started with the M's thru Z's. The next year I did every other letter. This year. Zip.
I think I may give up on cards completely.....
Who am I and what have I done with me? Too funny! Congratulations on getting so much done... that much early!
I think I may have said this before (the post when Maggie couldn't keep her hands off Jersey) that age entitles you to certain eccentricities!
Here's something you could really 'set-thy-sights' on after we croak, dude, for what's life but a breath of stale air soon to be forgotten? ...while Upstairs, we may have anything our heart's desire. I VERRRY WELL KNOW what I want... see: closenmyeyes.blogspot
