Summer of Love: Mill Hill Kits

I love stitching on perforated paper. But sometimes you just have to admit that you aren't going to do something even though it is quick and easy, or good for you, or enjoyable, or will result in a cute product. I've decided I'm not going to make these kits, so I should pass them on to someone who will.

Mill Hill kits: Buttoned and Beaded Country Magnet Kit Watermelon For Sale * Spring Bouquet III Beehive * Spring Bouquet VII Buzzing Bee * Country Magnet Kit Cheery Cherries * Spring Bouquet Pins VIII Guiding Light (not pictured)

All kits are complete and unopened.

To enter, admit it: what will you never do that you had hoped to or planned on doing?

Maybe I'm throwing in the towel a little early, and I had good intentions......but, after only one year, I have about decided that I will never finish HAED "Best of Show".

It's too, too sad to accept this failing but please enter me in the Mill Hill drawing.

knitting ... I always SAY I'm going to take a class, but I never ever do.

I have a large box full of beautiful stitched projects (all finished) that I am NEVER going to frame, make into ornaments or bell pulls or pillows or blah, blah, blah. But I keep on stitching anyway.

I thought we would hike the Milford Sound, but that is NOT going to happen. I'm lucky these day to not get tired walking in the mall. Not that THAT happens all that often either.

My husband is on a watermelon craze, so I's like to get that one for him. The rest for me.

Geez.....I have to admit I have Mirabilia's Sleeping Beauty and there is no way in hell I will ever get to it!

This is really goofy, but I know a lady that teaches, get this, pole dancing for "exercise" and I really want(ed) to take this class. Who am I kidding? I won't ever take the class. I have the upper body strength of a gnat and my "girls" are, um, petite. These are 2 things I think you really need to be successful in the class. So, no pole dancing for me. I'll just keep stitching, thankyouverymuch, where my upper body and "girls" don't have anything to do with being successful. LOL!

On a stitching note: I'm never restart Peacock Tapestry even though I really want to.

More seriously: as a kid I always wanted to be a doctor. I've now accepted that it won't happen.

Where do I even start!? There are so many things,...but the best I think is, that pile of squares I cut out for a quilt, when I was living in Alaska, 9 years ago, that has made 4 moves, and everytime I go to unpack, I open the box and think, OMG, I still haven started sewing them together!Sadly, since I'm packing to move once again, I don't think they are going to make their way out of the box anytime soon, maybe never.

I always dreamed of being a rockstar. But that will never ever happen. I can't hold a tune even if my life depended on it and I don't play any instrument.

I also love stitching on perforated paper and I am totally crazy about Mill Hill kits. I have stitched several already.

Have a great stitching weekend.

Ok. I admit it. I will never ever learn to sew on a sewing machine, and consequently will never take up quilting. (I do reserve the option of learning to hand quilt)

As much as I love them, and as much as I want to, I will probably never make a quilt. And it saddens me! :(

I always wanted to learn how to quilt but since I hate sewing machines (because they hate me), I doubt I'll ever make one. Every year I go to the fairs, drool over all the lovely quilts and think to myself "I should learn how to do that". Wellll, it's fair time again ....

I'm pretty much resigned to never stitching "A Most Noble Pursuit." Got the chart and the fabric. I can see donating it to my EGA chapter. Sometime soon.

The list of things I truly intended to do, stitching and in real life, numbers at least in the six figures. Follow-through isn't always my strongest trait. My #1 failed project in stitching is an ancient (acquired 35+ years ago), but very pretty, old stamped sampler from Paragon (remember them?) called The Chase. It's mostly completed, but my cross-stitching is so awful that I can no longer think of finishing it.

By the way, I'm just writing this to confess, not to enter for the Mill Hill Kits. I got rid of mine a while back ... lol.

After being laid off a year and a half ago, one of my planned projects was to paint & redecorate the bathroom. I'm starting to think that's never going to happen. But I love Mill Hill kits and would definitely stitch those!

I think I've let go of building a cabin and living in the AK Bush. Sigh.

Weave, even though there's actually a loom buried somewhere.

Are these kits still for sale? If so I would buy them.
