Unknown Provenance

In my mom's pile of quilting stuff, we found this little pile of cross-stitching. She thought I did it. I have no recollection of this. I think it's more likely she did it. I don't even recognize the patterns.

I was thinking of making them into little ornaments...

I think I might have stitched those mushrooms in Junior High. But how did they wind up at your mom's?

How cool to have these - they'd make cute ornies.

Well, the spouting whale bears a strong resemblance to one I did, but I know where that is, so I won't accuse you of snatching it. ;)

Ornaments (or cards) would seem a great way to use them.

They do look like they would make great ornaments or cards... like that cute apple for a teacher. You are certainly finding a lot of treasures.

That's a great idea.

I think we had a similar mushroom one in our kitchen circa 1979!

I think the folk heart in the bottom left corner is from one of those LA Folkart Cross stitch books. I have two or three still in the stash. The bear in the stocking also looks LAish. I think I cross stitched that same duck in the center left.

What fun to find all this stuff!

Interesting. I wonder if you really did stitch all of those? I think the card idea that someone tossed out is a good idea, in addition to the ornaments.
