I Can Quit Any Time I Want

You've all left for the weekend. I know because I was sitting in the traffic you caused when I was driving to the Strawberry Sampler to drop off my framing. You know one piece that I brought. I'll make the others a surprise. You'll know more in June.

As promised, I have turned to Tree of Life Window (Frank Lloyd Wright).

Last night I was finishing up one of those small squares on the bottom when the dude declared he was off to bed. Was I coming?

Me: "Just a few more stitches." (Four to be exact.)
Dude [in his best Lebowski]: "'Just one more stitch, man.' Can you quit anytime you want?"

I'm not sure I can. Can you?

Well, from my last post, obviously not!

I have a round robin that's been waiting for 10 years to be framed. I was just about to get in the car to head for Strawberry Sampler today when the phone rang and then I just didn't get around to it. Your description of the traffic makes me glad I stayed home- although it would have been great fun to run into you there!

Looks like its back into the "I'll frame that myself one of these days" pile for the RR.

Nope. Can't quit. It's a disease, man.

quit??? NO way - I love this adrenalin rush from stitching and staying up until the wee hours to finish 'just a little bit more'.
Go for it!

No, it's just like reading a good book. Just one more page, chapter, etc. Just one more stitch, row, finish this color...

Clearly not ... I got up at 5:55am on a holiday weekend to stitch on Workbasket's Rabbit Rondel. Now, yes, Caron Waterlilies [silk] is a joy to stitch, Silkweaver's overdyed fabric is lovely and the Workbasket design is exquisite ... but 5:55am on a day I don't have to go to work ... I must be mad!

Why would I want to?

hey, I left early in the day! I wasn't the cause of the traffic.

And, no, can't quit. ;)

Why on earth would I want to quit?

Nope - just like Lay's Potato chips - gotta have more than one! Nice stitching!

Can't wait to see what else you took for framing. I definitely have a hard time putting my stitching down...especially if I'm in the middle of a row, a motif, anything.

I guess it's an addiction I'm not willing to kick. ;)

We all know it's an addiction and we need a 12-step program!
