Finishing Frenzy

I have finally gotten off my duff and finished some past-due anniversary giveaways. It's totally pathetic, but I had big plans for two of them--a corsage pin cushion and a pillow with a welt piping. Of course, I had no pattern for the first and had never made piping. So, big bite. And today I chewed! I made a piped pillow. I made a pincushion. I made a corsage-style pincushion (after a few false starts). The seam ripper got a workout. But I am very pleased with all the results. I will post photos when I get confirmation that they have arrived.

I even started the finishing of the "Family Matters" pillow for my aunt. Yeah, the one I started last April.

I'm on a roll now. I sewed up an ornament. Now I've settled in to sew on trim. You probably remember how much I love that.

I am going to feel much better when this is all done. I won't have those guilty feelings just walking into my craft room any more. That'll be nice!

Since you're on such a roll, can I send you some of my stuff to sew? I just can't seem to drag out my machine. I can't wait to see your results.

Good for you, Anna!

I've read directions on how to attach trim, and I've received gifts with attached trim, so I know that it can been done. If only I had the courage to give it a try.

Ugh ... piping. You are a brave girl. Just the thought of it makes me wanna throw something. I suck at finishing finishing.

I received the pillow form in today's mail. It's so fantastic! Thank you, Nikki! Now I just have to get the pillow form, which I'll do next week.
