Framed

I got a call yesterday from the Strawberry Sampler! When I walked in they greeted me by name. I have apparently crossed a threshold, which is nice but a touch embarrassing. Without further ado, I give you My Needle and Floss. I went with the same frame I used on Tall Flowers.

Pop over to Sue's blog because the traveling pattern is getting ready to go again!

Next is La D Da's A to Z and in Between. I thought this deserved a plain dark wood frame to go with the letters. I made changes in the floss, you can find those recorded here.

Finally, Moon Garden by Birds of a Feather. I love how this came out!!!

And a close-up of the frame because I.Am.In.Love!

The dude was pleased with my cooking yesterday as well. We started out with eggs in a basket for breakfast. He had a midmorning cold brewed coffee. For lunch I was making zucchini/summer squash fritters, when the dude suggested tomato and cheese sandwiches. Since I had the cast iron skillet out, I grilled green and red tomato and cheese sandwiches to go with the fritters. For dinner, I popped a pork loin into the slow cooker with 2/3 of a bottle of LC's barbecue sauce (our favorite from the KCMO trip), roasted some CSA green beans and made sweet and sour red cabbage from the head that has been languishing in the vegetable bin. He told me I could have charged $20 per plate. I love that he loves my cooking so much. Not that it shows. Skinny fucker.

Roasted green beans, you say? Do tell.

DH has talked me into letting him get a smoker with the promise of brisket. We love a good BBQ - slow cooker, smoker, grill, doesn't matter.

Hey love love the framing - it's all gorgeous, they've done such a great job.

I am still laughing about the skinny fucker comment - I have one of those too, it is SOOOOO annoying that he can eat for bloody Ireland and there's not a pick of fat on him!

Skinny husbands ... sigh. Niek eats so much that I get embarassed for him. I have a suspicion that I gain according to what he eats, and vice versa.

But what I really came over to say was, "WOW! Great framing!" :D

Beautiful! I especially love the La D Da A to Z. Awesome.

And Oh-The-Thrill of finding the perfectly perfect frame. It's just lovely.

Very nice frames...I also really like the frame on Moon Garden.

Add me to the skinny husband list. Those commercials for that diet company, where the husband gives up soft drinks and loses 20 pounds, while the wife runs 20 miles a day, drinks nothing but water, has given up all carbs, yet still gains weight when she even dares to look at food...yup, that's us. *sigh* It's quite frustrating at times. OK, it's quite frustrating ALL the time...

Great framing on everything! I particularly like the frame that you chose for Moon Garden. Very nice! I'll be taking my first piece to them to be framed in the next week or so. I'm hoping that they can get it done in a month. Am I crazy?

Gorgeous framing! I love the frame too on your moon garden and the color changes on A-Z look great!

Your husband is a lucky man-he has someone that cooks great and he is skinny to boot! Can't beat that!

I love your framed pieces. They all look great. Moon Garden is especially elegant.

My DH is just the opposite of the Dude. If he smells a hamburger, he gains weight. It's a tough battle.

I passed the same threshold with my LNS earlier this year. When I took my niece's sampler in to be framed, the owner of the store not only knew who I was but wrote out my whole, complicated name on the framing form, without any input from me. It is a bit frightening.

Oh, the thrill of bringing home your latest framed piece!

They all look lovely.

My framer not only knows me well, but gives me a huge discount!

(I have the same 'husband' - grr)

Wow! The framing is all wonderful. If you'd like to send Moon Garden over to my house, all framed and ready to hang I would be cool with that. : ) Your food experience sounds lovely...maybe I'll just have to move in...although I do have that wonderful chef at my house don't I?
