Good news: they're heading back to Boston! (It's very important that the Red Sox win the World Series. My mom has a dining room table riding on it.)
Bad news: my FIL and his icky girlfriend arrive tonight. I am by nature sort of moody, and I'm in a mood. I don't know if it is caused by the imminent arrival, or if I just happen to be in a low as they approach. I need to buck up! Smiles on!
Good news: we are required to blow off work today to attend the opening of a new building.
Bad news: looks like rain, thunderstorms forecast.
Good news: Jillian's stocking is almost done.
Bad news: ran out of Concord.
Good news: I will be able to take a photo of Jillian's stocking tomorrow.
Bad news: Another trip to Lancaster is predicted; I have no idea when I'll be able to upload said photo.
Have a good weekend. No don't go. Don't leave me here by myself. Help me; help me!

You have got to be kidding me. Free furntiture if the Red Sox win. Wait, I do need a love seat and some chairs for the new house . . .
Best Pal and I are going to be in Carlisle for a wedding tomorrow. Back to the homestead on Sunday. Come to Carlisle Saturday night, we can try and find the one bar that might have the game on . . .
Go Sox, go!!
So, did it rain?
I don't blame you for being in a mood regarding your IL's arrival...I get in that same mood whenever I have to deal with my IL's, too.
I'd invite you over to stitch this weekend, but we have the wedding reception (they actually got married last year, but never had a reception) on Saturday and are out sailing on Sunday. So, unless you feel like sailing again... LOL. Good luck with the pasted-on smile. It gets tiring after a while, I know. Hope you get your Concord soon so that you can finish up the stocking. I can't wait to see the finished product!
I'm in a mood too, so I'm there with you on that one. Hope you can get your Concord and finish up the stocking.
Go Sox! Al over NL (the old people's league) and anyone over the Yankees.
If I were next door I would bake you some cookies. I'm a serious introvert (Which is sometimes odd because I am NOT afraid to talk in front of thousands or hundreds or dozens of people.), so I understand about wanting to hide under the bed rather than spending time with people you are ambivalent about. In fact, my husband went to a friend's house to watch the Transformers movie and I've stayed home to stitch. I'm not going to the hotel meeting tomorrow either. Stitching in front of a group of people (like inlaws) that you don't have much to say to is a good way to pass the time while ignoring them. I can't get away with reading in front of them.
Oh. Did I not tell you you needed three skeins of Concord?? :( Sorry.
We could not believe Jordan's promotion of free furniture at the beginning of season. Saw the commercials every night on NESN and would love to know how much it bumped up their sales...
So your mother is one step closer to a free table. But the Rockies can do it. Really, they can. Stop Laughing.
Congratulations to your mother on winning her dining room set.
Boston Nation is here to stay!
