The stupid thing is, not all grandmothers cross stitch(ed) anyway. Talk about stereotypes! Neither of mine did - my paternal grandma was an avid knitter and crocheter, but you don't see those crafts labelled as grannyish in quite the same way. Grrrr.
This is really starting to annoy me. Double Grr.
You know, I wish people would really figure out what they're talking about. This pi$$es me off! Sorry!
I just wrote a nasty email to a NY Times writer about stereotyping the middle ages. People just love to be overly simplistic and stereotypical about things.
