Knotty but Nice

Liz Turner Diehl's English 16th C. Knot Garden made the trip back to the old country. This one also seems to have been abandoned during 2009. I had only finished the center and the specialty stitch square back in 2008, the last time I worked on it.

Unfortunately, I seem to have left the color code at my BIL's--well, I seem to have lost it there. I hope they come across it. Of course, if you've seen the pattern for this there are pages and pages that describe every square of the outer garden--I may be able to work it out without the code.

That is going to be one beautiful piece when finished and I'll bet you can work it without the codes, too. Good luck! I admire all of you that can work on things like this.... it's just way to daunting a task for me!

These gardens are beautiful. I ought to know--I have *several* in my stash.

Don't think I have this one so I can't send you the code. I'll bet if you e-mail Liz Turner Diehl, she would send you a new color code.

Good luck finding the key.

That's so pretty - I hope you manage to track down a copy of the key.

I like Susan's suggestion of contacting LTD to see if she'll send you another color key. Your WIP is very pretty--I love her garden series.

I'm glad you made it back safe & sound from snowy England! I was wondering what your take on it would be. I have to admit, I had to laugh at the panic that the 10 centimeter snow storm caused here, but then I remembered that there are no salt trucks and nobody owns snow shovels, and salting the roads means people out with salt shakers. LOL Seriously. Anyhoo, glad you had a good time and that the gifts were well received.

I agree about contacting Liz to get a new key. I bet she'd be glad to help you out. That way you don't have to work so hard to figure it out! This is a lovely piece and you made really nice progress on it

I have this piece - and actually finished it! and yes, I have all the directions (because why would you ever get rid of stash?) so if you want I can mail the whole chart package to you.

Oh, I love those LTD gardens. In fact, I may even have one (uh oh, another hour in the files awaits me at home). Something like this would take me forever, but I'd love having it on my wall.

Really like this one. I'm a sucker for square gardens and cloisters.
