The bicycle card was one I found on Splitcoast Stampers. I have two family members who are avid cyclists, and even though they don't ride penny-farthings I thought the card was appropriate. Simple, but nice.
Finally, the third card was made one for my nephew whose birthday is today. I was so pleased with how the Stampin' Up ink colors matched the non Stampin' Up paper I had. (That ribbon in the middle is lighter gold than it appears.) Unfortunately, I made this card moments before I had to send it. I am trying to avoid falling into this trap. Until we get further into the year, I am probably going to have some of these "emergencies." I guess I should be happy with experiencing fewer of them.
They say we are having more "weather" this weekend. I don't know if I can take it. I don't know if the dude--"white poop"--can take it. I don't know if Stella can take it--her day care has been closed for the last two days because they lost power in Wednesday's storm. (And she doesn't get to go when we stay home from work, which we were three days this week.) So don't be surprised if you wake up on Monday to find one or two of us have been eaten by a stir-crazy third party.
Very nice cards! I really like the bike one. (I'm sick of snow. And ice. And cold. You know.)
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! No fair beating yourself up about last minute finishes--the rule is a finish is a finish and even more wonderful if it occurs before the actual event. Pat yourself on the back!
ReplyDeleteThese are so gorgeous and yes...manly :) I was tempted to say cute but that just didn't sound manly enough! As has been said.....you got it done before the event! That's what matters :)
ReplyDeleteI always admire the cards you make. Your designs are simply elegant, clean lines and lovely graphics.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Nikki. Love the Stella story.

Oh wow, they are really great, your manly cards. I've never tried myself on these paper crafted cards but I think they are worth a try.
ReplyDeleteHope you'll soon get rid of all of this weather.
Love these cards! Last-minute is still "on time."
ReplyDeleteYour cards turned out great, and as Susan said, last minute is still on time :) Love your earlier picture of Mermaid, she's so delicate. We keep getting the nasty winter here too, but thankfully haven't had any more ice since around Christmas when we lost power for several days, ugh, I hate winter.
