Reviewing March:
- See a movie--Saw A Separation, the Iranian movie that won the Oscar for best foreign language film; thought about it for days after.
- Read two books--Three: Buttons and Bones, Murder After Hours, The History of Love
- March is national craft month. I am going to try to complete a craft a day.-- I did it! And I got retweeted by Joanne's, The Craft and Hobby Association, and reblogged by Craft Gossip. It was a banner month.
- Stitch in my spare time--finished Button Border Pumpkins and Snowman Stocking (at left). It was quite a month for crafting around here!
For April:
- See a movie
- Read two books
- Finish That Dern Parrot
- Work on Star Ligh Star Bright
You will note that the goals list for this month has shrunk. That is because I will be working part-time at a temporary gig. Of course, as my mother always says, "work had and do good work and they'll hire you." She's so cute with that pointy little head of hers. Nevertheless, I am endeavoring to do just that.
* Seriously, she sits next to the baker's rack where her treats are kept. She catches your eye, and when she's sure you're looking at her, she looks up to her treats. She is a laugh riot who would be even pudgier if we were as under her sway as she would like to imagine!
Love your stocking. The colors are perfect! Congrats on 'craft-o-day' month - you did an amazing job. And no, I've never thought of my followers sitting collectively awaiting my next post - lol!
ReplyDeleteLove your stocking! Your craft month wore me out! Take a break.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your April goals (and work too!). Enjoyed your month of March Crafting Madness.
ReplyDeleteLove the stocking ~ very sweet.
ReplyDeleteTotally enjoyed following your version of March Madness and was rooting for you at the end to finish and you did! Brava!
ReplyDeleteYou are a better woman than I, oh Miss Stitch Bitch- crafting something every day for a month! Plus blogging about it!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you!
Love the snowman stocking.
Your P.S. about Stella & her treat jar is too funny! Sometimes I wish my Chicken could talk and then think again "No! She'd be nagging me endlessly for treats!" They can be SO expressive in their non-verbal doggie ways!
Congrats on the part-time job. And congrats on your craft month - I know I would have a hard time to make something different every single day!
ReplyDeleteI too enjoyed the Crafting Month. It's so nice to see someone else doing things I will probably never attempt!
ReplyDeleteAs we speak Madame Muriel is again the Travelling Granny, winging her way across the Atlantic Ocean to Gracie in Arizona.
You finished the Swirly Snowman stocking and it looks great! I bought that pattern because of your WIP pictures of that piece. :D
ReplyDeleteCongrats on Craft Month. Those were great posts and great projects.
My puppy (who is 8) stands by the cupboard where his cookie jar lives. He will nudge the door open if he has the chance and longs for thumbs so he can crank open the lid! He will bark or whine a bit if you walk by and don't acknowledge he's standing by the doggie cookie jar...it can be as simple as telling him he's had a cookie already. Aren't they funny!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great stocking. I don't think I've ever seen it before.
ReplyDeleteAs for Craft Month, I have to keep my nose in my stitching and knitting. There aren't enough hours in my day to make much headway on what I'm already doing. Your projects have tempted me!
