I'm sorry I don't have a photo of the Lizzie*Kate start from Monday. I got sick on Tuesday and didn't do all sorts of things I had hoped to do, like take down the Christmas trees or make a new start. Then on Wednesday we left for a road trip. (We've left Stella at the house with a caretaker, so don't go breaking in. That bitch will cut you.)
We listened to four discs of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and I started (and completed!) JBW Design's English Christmas Pudding. I do all the Christmas Pudding designs that come out because the dude and I hate Christmas pud, and people always give it to us because he's English and it's a tradition. {Blech.} It's irony.
I've started Teresa Layman's Leave a Light On. I am stitching it over one and starting with the navy blue frame. So what we have so far is GAST peacock on navy blue...which means you won't have a photo of that one either.
Okay, off to eat North Carolina BBQ (another journey in our barbecue saga).
Shame on you both for not liking Christmas Pudding, lol. You could always send them on to me :-), i love Christmas Pud, although being on this Slimming world plan i have avoided it this year:-(
ReplyDeleteOK, we must be on some sort of telepathic link with the books, i just downloaded all the Stieg Larsson books to my Kindle! How did you enjoy TGWTDT?
Enjoy your trip :-)
Poor Stella, missing out on the road trip! Next time you should take her along.
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny that you stitch Christmas pudding designs and you hate Christmas pudding LOL
Carolyn
Didn't you just love "Dragon Tattoo"? It took me forever to get through the first half of the book, but I'm so glad I made it through. I finished the 2nd book in the series last week and I picked up book three for my Nook this morning.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon! Love the finish. I don't think I've ever had Christmas pudding.
ReplyDeleteGreat finish. I don't like the pudding either but it is so pretty, I love the motif.
ReplyDeleteAre you going to go see Girl With A Dragon Tattoo? I think they did a great job with the book.
Strange - I just started Leave A Light One - but not over 1! Good Lord - doing it on the navy fabric is tough enough.
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas pudding, maybe because I LOVE the hard sauce!
Have fun with the BBQ quest.

I love your stitching. Funny that you should be trying Carolina BBQ. The best comes from a place called "Gary's Barbeque" in Little Cherry. They make the absolute best coleslaw I've ever tasted. I've never had plum pudding, but I LOVE branston pickle, bangers & mash, and welsh rarebit! Some English food is just to die for! ~ Lorraine
ReplyDeleteDon't know why since I've never tried it, but don't think I'd like it either. But it does make some cute cross stitching! Happy New Year! Enjoy the bbq - I'm getting in that mood, too.
ReplyDeleteLove your Christmas pud finish, though I HATE the stuff!! My SIL makes it every year and then wraps it up in its container in aluminum foil and the gaudiest bit of garland she can find. I tried to foist some off on my college age daughter, for her roomies, but no luck.
ReplyDeleteNC BBQ--I am insanely jealous.
lol -- I've never eaten Christmas pudding. Is it as yummmmy as fruit bread?
ReplyDeleteYour crazy stitching is coming along great....
