It's a horrid day today. Stella looked up at me and asked me to open the door that didn't have all that rain behind it. I told her that if I could market that kind of magic, I'd never have to work again!
So join me in a little crafty meme.
What are your hobbies? crafts, reading, baking and cooking, gardening, travel
What crafts do you do? embroidery, papercrafts, sewing, quilting, beading, knitting
What sounds do you craft along to? Usually, whatever is on television. If I am in the craft room, I have a little boom box adapter for my iPod, and I set it to shuffle. But then I skip things that don't put me in the right mood.
First Project You Ever Made: I poked pins with ball heads into my Barbie's head giving her new earrings. My mother called me "ingenious" and left my room. Then I tracked her down and asked her if that was a good thing. I must have been about four or five.
Favorite Project: It's like picking your favorite child, isn't it? I think I'll go with Anna's Bird.
Favorite Items to Make: Unlike so many stitchers, I enjoy stitching for others, and I enjoy choosing the right project for the right person. Which may mean that some people never get anything from me. I blame the designers!
What's your favorite...
Color: periwinkle
Movie: Some Like it Hot
TV Show: For sheer fun you can't beat Human Target. But I've had a thing for Mark Valley since Keen Eddie.
Band: Bare Naked Ladies
Book: I always say I don't choose favorites because getting my degrees in English means I have read literally thousands of great books.
Food: It is jellybean season.
Favorite Craft: cross stitch
And you? What are your favorites?

I do this too. It drives my DH ape-sh**...
My answers are in my blog.
I never gave my Sindy (not Barbie!) dolls piercings, but they did end up with rather permanent makeup...consi
We are not going to discuss what I did to my dolls. Suffice it to say that my mom is still very amazed that I have four healthy children and I have caught her counting their fingers and toes on some visits. ;)
Meme on my blog -- I agree about skipping music -- it is quite annoying to me, too. My DD tends to skip songs all the time. We are in the car & she hoggs the radio --- flips stations, even her own CD mixes, she skips over songs. I feel like carrying a fly swatter in the car to keep her hands off the dials!!!
