Love that Dog

I took out Love Me, Love My Dog which hasn't seen much love since February 2011. The trouble with this hit and run one day stitching is that next time I pull it out, I will have to do as much thinking about this project as I did this time just to take a few stitches. I seem to have either lost or used up the blue grey floss for one of the dogs. So I moved to the chocolate lab, only to be completely perplexed by which color is which. I needed to confirm a few things with the DMC floss box. {Sigh} So only a few stitches. I should prioritize this one in the new year because it needs getting done. I started it for the 2011 Crazy January Challenge!

This sorry state of affairs is giving Miss Stella the vapors.

  1. Can I admit that when I first looked at this piece I thought you were stitching a cow? I think I need to join Miss Stella.

  4. Ah, what a pain! Stitching is supposed to be zen, not stressful as you try to figure out the color and stitches. I had a bit of that with the raven (my 2+ year off-and-on project, which I've run out of two colors on and used the wrong color at least once). I decided it wasn't worth picking the stitches out, so I'm stitching it flawed and hoping it all sort of blends together at the end.

Good luck, and I hope the box is helpful in identifying which breed of floss color the chocolate lab one is!

  6. I thought it was a cow too! I don't like a daily switch either, I'd rather get a few days t get into the groove with a project.

  7. You are so right! It takes sometimes longer to figure out where you left off and where to begin then the time you have to stitch. Love me, Love my dog is of every home with a dog!. Good luck with finding the right floss, I hope to see this one in 2017.
