Last year during my attempt to do 31 cross stitch finishes, I decided it would be a good idea to start a small right in the middle of the month. Sure, it's from Two-Hour Country Cross-Stitch but I didn't have a moment to spare. I have no idea what I thought I was doing then. But now, much more than two hours later, I used it to decorate the cover of a photo album. The album I purchased had a 3x3 opening on the front so you could stick in a photo. I had to be sure to make a flat ornament that would cover that opening with enough clearance to glue it on. That's why there is much more white space than normal. (This is almost an inch all around. I'm much more of a half inch kind of girl.)
I did finish the stitching this month for Heather's Smalls Stitchalong. Go check out what others have done.
And so concludes another Craft Month. I'm going to go over there and collapse in a heap! Thanks for all your lovely comments and encouragement. I appreciated it all so much!
Another great project Nikki. I'm going to miss your daily posts.

ReplyDeleteI like this watermelon finish, perfect for some summertime photos. Awesome job keeping up with your craft month posts. I will miss hearing from you every day.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing your craft month. You have done brilliantly well, not only with all the projects you've shared, but with the will power to get through to the end. Feet up, girl, you did it again!! Xxx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing out the month. I know it is not easy.
ReplyDeleteI am totally going to decorate a box to keep things safe. I just re-purchased buttons I took out of a kit and put 'in a safe place'. #1 on my list of things that make me crazy? Losing stuff.

Great idea! I'm always looking for ways to use smalls besides cards. Cards feel so temporary for so much work, although a couple of my recipients do frame them.
ReplyDeleteI Really enjoyed Craft Month. Thanks!
Love this finish! Congratulations on making it through the month and opening our minds to so many things we never would have seen! I hope you have a nap in your plans for the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'm sad to see the craft month come to an end. I always look forward to it each year. You made some great things this month. The wreaths, latitude pillow and pincushion were some of my favorites. I always enjoy your blog.

ReplyDeleteYAY, you made it! And finished with another lovely. Well done.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on completing the whole month!
ReplyDeleteYou've shown us some great crafty ideas. The exploding book was my favourite. I've been working on mine today in fact.
I couldn't even begin to try to figure out which craft was my favorite, but
ReplyDeleteI am going to try making something with Paper Pinwheels - well first I am going to try to make a pinwheel. I will let you know how it goes. Thank you for taking the time to share.
It looks more accented with large white space. Your watermelon evokes wonderful fresh feeling.
