The last four days have found me moving between the couch and the bed, experiencing a full array of muscle aches, joint aches, headaches, fever, chills, and a racking dry cough. It was a great way to spend the weekend. (Thinking back I don't know how I managed Saturday's craft. Probably because the worst came on Sunday.)
I finally went back to work today. I was a little cotton headed, but thankfully had long day of a fairly repetitive task (kind of unusual in my job). I shook off the cobwebs but was amazed to make it all the way to the end of the day! I am still really tired and, frankly, unmotivated to keep crafting.
I just don't know what to do about this.
I started celebrating craft month two years ago with this fabulous craft-a-day idea. And it was tiring but fun. I wanted to keep doing it, but I also wanted to keep it fresh. I came up with the idea of mancrafting in the middle of last craft month and have been collecting ideas since March. I've been so looking forward to it! So I'm really invested in it. And as much as I want to, I lack the energy right now.
I'm not sure when I'll be back with more projects, but I'll be back.
Hope you are feeling better soon! Sounds like a version of the flu.

PS I have enjoyed seeing the craft projects you have been taking on during this month even though I don't post much.
More important than showing your versatility at crafting and blogposting is maintaining your health and the job you waited too many years for. We all understand and wish you well. Blog again when you really feel like it, not because you think we're demanding it.
ReplyDeleteYou're sick Nikki! Don't worry about crafting or blogging until you feel better. When you're up to it, continue on with what you've planned. We'll happily wait for you!
ReplyDeleteTake care!
IF you are really determined, then just write up the ideas and any photos on the web. Do NOT kill yourself trying to it all by your self. We'd all rather have you quiet when sick than not have you at all.

Rest up and feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteJust take care of yourself first. You can extend any timeline to do your crafts. Besides, just think of all the ideas you'll come up with while you are lying there recuperating! ;-)
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Get some rest, girl, and take care of yourself! :)
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself first, then come back to it.. After all, every month is craft month for us stitchers. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry that you are sick..Just focus on getting better!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you're sick and it's foiled your crafty plans. Just rest up and you can make up for lost time later when you're feeling chipper again. OJ, softest tissue you can find, and Vaseline are your friends.
ReplyDeleteI hate being sick. I hope you're feeling better really soon. Take it easy and get better. The crafts will wait.
ReplyDeleteMost of the time we can control life, but sometimes life has a mind of its own. Right now you need to listen to your body and rest. When you feel better we will all drink a toast to good health and then carry on with the crafting.
ReplyDeleteRest and drink plenty of fluids. We will wait for you to return. Take good care.
It's hard to be motivated for anything when you feel like you shouldn't get out of bed! Rest and get your energy back - motivation will come again.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you have been sick Nikki. Just continue your craft a day next month.

Oh dear!! Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm....since you *are* mancrafting this month.....I'm going to have to diagnose you as having a case of the man flu :D
Take care of yourself! Hope the Dude is looking after you!
Hope you feel better soon! Don't be so hard on yourself for missing a few days of crafting because you've been sick.
ReplyDeleteI just realized that you were the one who decided that March would be your crafting month. There is nothing that says that you cannot arbitrarily decide (like many governments) that May will be crafting or June or the 12th of never. You get to decide and can pick up where you left off. I'm sure your audience will be just as receptive then as they have been in the past. Please feel better soon.
ReplyDeletehope you feel better soon ((hugs)) and that the crafting mojo comes back as well ... love mouse xxxx
ReplyDeleteI agree, it's man craft month so you must have man flu. Hope you get well soon.
ReplyDeleteAnd craft month can be any month, it doesn't even have to begin on the first of any month.
Get Well Soon!
I hope you get better soon. Hugs
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better by now--that sounds pretty dreadful... Take care now!
