I kept going--I'm doing my sparkly life workbook again this year because there were mysterious forces at work last year. I wrote down the word "focus" and instead of going into a depression and stopping my job search when I wasn't successful, I got right back in the saddle, and ultimately succeeded. I did more things I meant to because I was doing the things I wanted to.
This year's word is "connect" and it goes well with both the list that the dude and I made together and the things I wrote in my workbook.
These are my creative goals from the workbook (yup, there's a section for creative goals!):
- stitch more smalls
- finish-finish 12 stitched pieces
- keep the craft room tidy
- make cards in advance of needing them
- plan Craft Month, and work ahead
- stitch two threads each night
- complete stitching eight pieces (in addition to the smalls)
- signed up for the Smalls SAL
- scheduled quarterly finishing weekends
- joined Jen Funk-Weber's free stitchinar about finishing to be held on January 11
- made a schedule of cards to make monthly
- scheduled regular crafting time
- made a list of (themed!) crafts, which I will begin tackling soon (breaking them down by category)
Of course, over the course of the year, I will find other ways to help myself succeed. Small steps.
However you celebrate it,
whatever your hopes and dreams may be,
whatever your hopes and dreams may be,

Excellent goals, and I love the concept of a sacred word of the year.
Great goals, and you have persuaded me to join the Smalls SAL as well.
Can I talk you into joining the local(ish) sampler guild? It would be a good way to connect with other stitcher's!
Great goals Nikki. I know that you will accomplish all of them.
Happy New Year,
Linda
I like your goals. Good luck with them. I think I will be checking out the Jen Funk-Weber's stitchanar! Thanks for link.
Oh, this was the perfect post for me this very moment. Thanks for the link and I will check it out! If you check my latest post you will see how much I am needing to figure things out these days!
I like the concept of the sacred word. I like the goals you have set for yourself!
Happy New Year!
Hmm, maybe patience would be my word...
Happy New Year! Good luck with the goals and I look forward to seeing the progress.
Sounds like a perfect New Year's Eve.
Great list of goals too.
Good Luck with your goals. I like this one - make cards in advance of needing them
I am aiming for "try posting before the last posting date". I am just so last-minute all the time!
