After four and a half years of underemployment, I'm rejoining the ranks of Americans employed outside the home. Can I get a yee haw!? I can hardly believe it myself. The contract has been inked, and provided my background passes the test, I'll be back in an office five days a week beginning October 7th. I'll be yadda yadda yadda-ing at a local college. No doubt this will cut into all sorts of blogging, stitching, and crafting time but with any luck, I'll find lots to share with you.
Thank you all for your comments and spirit-buoying when I needed it the most--especially these last two months when I kept getting thisclose and just missing the cut.
You're a special group of people, and I thank you for letting me play the reindeer games. That sounds like I'm signing off, but you're not getting rid of me that easily.

Wow! What wonderful news. You go girl!
Congrats, Nikki! I am so pleased for you!
I am still on the bench, doing a bit of navel gazing and pondering what I want to be when I grow up! ;-)
Rest up this week and get ready to Go, Go, Go!
Congratulations! Well done! What a drag to have to give up crafting-when-you-feel-like-it, but it is comforting to be getting that check.
Congratulations! I hope it's a job you'll love.
So nice to hear you've found a job and I hope it's one you'll really look forward to each day! Those are the best!!
I'm sure you'll still find some time to do your crafting/stitching/whatever else! Things have a way of working out!
Before you start your new job, you must promise to give another famous review of the Ornament Issue! I have laughed and enjoyed those each year!!! Getting my issue wouldn't be the same without your reviews!!! I look forward to it each year!
Enjoy your job and keep blogging!
Congratulations! What an exciting day!!
Congratulations! Yee Haw!
Looking forward to hearing the details.

Yea for you! Plenty of time to decide what to wear on your first day.. just like starting school.. in fact you'll be at a school! Hope it turns out great.
Congratulations! Nothing like being around those college kids to keep you feeling young and happy. You'll do a great job, I'm sure.

Woohoo!! Congratulations!
Yee Haw!! Congratulations!
But just who is it they're going to speak with about your background. Do they KNOW how much you love making ruffley cards, meeting with library ladies, and the abundance of cross stitch you must maintain?
LoL

Congratulations! Woo!
Congratulations! My last few years of teaching (along with a big move this year) have wrecked my blogging time, stitching time, and knitting time. But it's good to be employed! I hope you love it.
Wonderful news! Congratulations!!
Congratulations! I'm sure it will be a big adjustment, but I wish you much happiness in your new job :)
Congratulations!!
Let me add my congratulations to those already here - a local college sounds like a nice place to work! I know you've been looking for quite a while so you are sure to be happy about this!
You can fit in reading, crafting, stitching - your house just won't be as clean and maybe dinner will be late now and then. Just think of the paycheck which will allow you to add to your stash :)
Good luck!
I'm with Melissa, that's how I manage to stitch and blog while working part-time and raising two children alongside my voluntary work!
Congrats on the new job, really pleased for you. First thing you must check, can Blogger get past the college firewall?
Congratulations!! I hope my late entry finds you settling in well and enjoying your new working digs.
Congratulations! That is wonderful news. Hope all went well your first week!
