Whoa, Nelly!

Remember that lonely Chinese housewife who spent six hours a day stitching a reproduction of a Song Dynasty painting? Well, it's been three years. She's done.

Yup.

It's 22 meters long--about 72 feet. And you thought you were working on a big-ass project! Silly American.*

*Or, pretty much silly-everyone-else-who-thinks-they-work-on-BAPs, no matter what your national origin.

Amazing. I'd have started it, all 72 feet of it, gotten a third of the way done and decided it wasn't working for me.

There's got to be a big hole in her life now though. Anticlimactic...

God Lord - my question is, why?

Yeah, I'm a stitching cry-baby. I can't even finish my so-called BAP.

Hmmm. I wonder what she plans to do with it? Maybe donate it to a museum? Looks too big to hang in a regular-sized house.

So I showed this to Jeff and his comment was "Wow. Can you imagine how much that cost for materials?"
