Thanks for the wonderful comments on my framing. I can't wait to add "Love, Me" to the anniversary sampler wall in the bedroom! We recently got grown-up furniture for our bedroom (delivered whole not in pieces) including a headboard (we've never had a headboard) (but that was delivered in pieces--giant, giant pieces). Also, I finally found a hamper that is attractive enough and can hold more than one load of laundry. So it really feels like that room is coming together. :)
Unfortunately, the three days I spent on this year's anniversary sampler did not get us very far.
I'll have to try to schedule this one for a weekend next time.
And by next time, I don't think I mean next month. So far only one vote for not doing a craft-a-day for National Craft Month. (And I've wondered about you, naysayer. Who are you? What is your motivation?)
I just now noticed the addition of the word slow to your works in progress list. OH. WISP. That is so me. STEALING from you NOW! Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteI like the piece your working on.

I love the concept of "grown-up" furniture for the bedroom. A whole new visual fantasy. A slideshow of my personal bedroom furniture over the years just passed before my eyes.
ReplyDeleteWow!
I'm trying to convince my husband that we need a grown up bedroom too. The furniture I had from my grandmother since my childhood isn't cutting it anymore. And it's not even the stuff that could be considered a worthy antique. It's just old, inexpensive furniture with broken drawer rails.
ReplyDeletewe do have a big posh bed with a headboard AND a footboard AND matching bedside cupboards! The wardrobe was left by the previous houseowner because it's a vast 5 door thing and he couldn't get it out of the room without dismantling it! I have four of the divisions and hubby has one.
ReplyDeleteMind you we do often have four people in our bed so we need a wide one. NB the extra two are our children!
