Swirling Snow

I'm at the point on Bent Creek's Snowman Stocking where I've completely run out of threads! I need at least four more skeins. Sigh. So close--and I actually have the drive to finish it.

Tomorrow, I am going to finish my Christmas shopping. While I'm out, I'll swing by the thread shop. I'll need to do a lot of stitching to soothe my nerves after a trip to King of Prussia, no doubt.

In the meantime, I've been working on Button Border Pumpkin--a CJC piece.

Today I spent some time in the horror show that is my craft room (photos coming, Donna Jo). Somewhere in there is a Christmas project that I have not shared before that I was hoping to use for Jo's (Serendipitous Stitcher) Advent Calendar. Where can it be? It seems to have run off with MLI's Enchanted Alphabet. Ideas?

  1. At least you can hit the mall on a weekday instead of the weekend.
Your snowman looks amazing. I love him.

  2. Oh, how do we let our rooms get such a mess? I never lose anything but suddenly it's happening on a regular basis. Currently missing: a quilt pattern I carry around when I shop looking for the perfect fabric. I have the fabric now. The pattern? Not so much. Good luck shopping.

Is it in the box with the decorations?
Have a nice time at the stitching shop, bet you don't just buy the skeins you need.

  6. I spent last night in the horror of my stitching closet and put teetering piles into a plastic bin for now so it's out of the way and a little more contained. I found tons of projects I want to stitch! Apparently things multiply in there.

    Great progress on your stocking!

  7. Love your snowman! But four more skeins of thread needed?! Yikes! He's fabulous though - glad you intend to persevere. As for the craft room - I need to do the same. What a mess I have. And more than one thing has gone missing.

  10. Oh god, I hate malls, I'm so sorry. I'm working on a project right now that I'm quickly realizing I'm going to need at least another skein, if not 2, of a certain color.
