NaBlown

Yesterday I went to my Stampin' Up rep's house with Sissy to make an advent calendar. We started around 11:30, took a break for lunch, and when I looked at my watch at 3:55, we still weren't done. I had people coming to the house at 7:00, I hadn't cleaned, and I had to pick up the dog and some booze.

We finally finished at 5:00. During that last hour, it was like we were in a sweatshop. But I still had a delightful time.

I got home at 6:15, threw the wash (including the tablecloth) into the dryer, fed the dog, picked up some clutter, and cleaned the bathroom. While I started Pioneer Woman's Queso Dip, the dude ran to the liquor store. He was still out when our guests arrived, but since it was just pizza (helping us use up the free pizza coupons the dude won at the silent auction) and games, they were cool.

Plus I showed them what I did for six hours instead of cleaning the house. They were impressed.

Inside day 12.

Also, they ate some of that queso, and I'm pretty sure we could have been sitting in that Febreeze house, and they would have forgiven us. It's just that good.

We played games until we were all over tired, and when they left I went to bed. Totally forgetting to blog. {Sigh.}

  3. I love the advent calendar! I'll take that any day over cleaning the house. And I swear, we're always more critical of our own cleaning than guests, unless its a mother.

  9. Interesting. I made it one day longer than you did. LOL

    Love the calendar. I should drive up to Philly and give you all the papercrafting stuff I have that I no longer want. Then it might get used.

  11. That's a darling project! Don't you feel so much more accomplished having completed this than you would have if all the corners were sparkling? Yeah, that's how I think about it... and sounds like your guests do, too!
