They're Back!

My pictures are back from the framer. Ooooh, pretty.

I thought I was going to frame this in a white shabby chic frame, but this one just does so much more for it.

And, ta da!!! (Wow more than one exclamation point. You never see that here.)
Good Huswife
Anna's Bird

This frame just seemed so perfect for it! I love it. This was framed with glass because I wanted to hang it in the dining room. And where there's food, there's gotta be glass.

But up against the dining room wall, I'm not so sure.

I know we'll find the perfect place for it.

  6. I love the frame, but I think I agree with you. The colors wash out when placed against the dining room wall. A lighter background, maybe?

Congrats on finding the perfect frame for your finish!

  9. Wonderful framing jobs! The best is Anna's Bird. You could always change the color of the wall. Although...I don't know...I think I'd hang it there a few days and see. I'd have to see it with everything around--furniture, windows, table, etc. This is too small a sample, plus IRL may be different too. I wouldn't rule it out, in other words.

  10. Wow! All these frames are a perfect choice for the stitched pieces. Anna's Bird is particularly beautiful, The colour of the frame is outstanding. And I must admit that I love it on the dining room wall. But wherever you hang it, it's outstanding.

  13. You deserve the extra exclamation points. Terrific!!!

And if you want to leave Anna's bird in the dining room, you could always paint a square behind the framed piece. Makes it dramatic and all...

Donna, that's a great idea. I've seen that done and it does look very dramatic and bring attention to the piece.

  16. Gorgeous! I love the frames you chose. And I think Anna's Bird looks beautiful in the dining room. Although the frame itself is close to the wall color, the black of the linen really pops it off the wall. I say live with it for a while and decide if you like it. Congrats on all the great framing!

  18. They all look perfect, but I can't blame you for adding so many exclamation marks when you were talking about Anna's Bird. That one's amazing.

  19. Beautiful pieces - congratulations.

(I have to ask, because I can't see the detail in the enlarged photo: did you do the 'Kam's Coils' for the sheep in the E&E&F piece, or just the french knots? This design is one of my WIPs. Thanks!)
