Deruta Biscornu

I worked a bit on this biscornu. I chose this pattern because of the fantastic majolica bead that is used in the center. The stitching echoes the bead so beautifully. Someday. You'll see. You can compare where I was in June here. (Sorry, blogging from my phone and I can't make a proper link.)

I really like the fiber and fabric combination.

Oh. Wow. This is already pretty, but it's gonna be gorgeous when you finish it. I found a picture of the finished product and I say again, Wow!

I think this is one of my favorites of all the in-progress projects you've shared. Something about the contrast between the rigid frame of the exterior stitches and the organic motion of the rows you're currently working on is charming. Thanks for sharing it! I can't wait to see it finished. :)

I had to look up the finished one too. That bead IS gorgeous. I also found a picture of the ceramic/china thing it is based on. Very pretty.

Love the colours in this, both fabric and floss.
